FEBRUARY CALENDAR
THIS WEEK'S CALENDAR
FEBRUARY IS BLOOD DRIVE MONTH!
We are asking everyone who can give blood to go by the local Donor Room in the Marketplace. When you donate, please inform the center that it is for New Braunfels Presbyterian
Church. Also, stop by our office and register your name in the Blood Drive drawing for a
$50 gift certificate to a local restaurant!
Through Saturday, February 13: KDO MISSION PROJECT will collect donations for Comal County St. Jude's Center For Young Children, and deliver our gifts
in time for Valentines Day. The center is always in need of children's clothing including socks and underwear, diapers, educational supplies, snacks and toys. What
better way to celebrate Valentines Day than by "Sharing with God's people who are in need." Romans 12:13
Sunday, February 7: DAVE RAMSEY ORIENTATION. During the 9:30 and 10:50 Sunday School hours, learn more about this very popular financial
management course to be presented here beginning Feb. 23d for 2 hours each week for 13 weeks. The $119 lifetime registration ($50 for church members) may be the best money you ever spent,
as you learn to pay off all your debt and provide yourself the financial security to help others as you always wished you could. This is open to the public, so invite everyone you
now. More Information. The last day to sign up is Monday, February 8! The whole family can attend for one fee.
Monday, February 8:   ANNUAL KITCHEN CLEAN-UP at 9am. We would greatly appreciate anyone who would like to help, and this is a good time for anyone
who has left anything in the kitchen to reclaim it.
Wednesday, February 10: WELCOME WEDNESDAY! Glenn Groves will be on hand to tell us how he trains dogs for the job of sniffing out drugs.
Please join us for this interesting program and a good meal of tacos, Spanish rice and beans, plus dessert for $4 for adults and teens and $2 for children with a $10 cap for
families. Plus, we have child care for our youngest children, children's choirs for pre-school and elementary kids, and Bible study for youth and Bell Practice. Some
come just to eat supper from 5:15-5:45 and leave afterward. Some come after supper for the programs which begin at 6:00, and others
just enjoy the fellowship of a meal and visiting with friends. You can choose how you participate. Come join us! Please call the office to let them know if you
would like child care.
Friday, February 12:   MEN'S BREAKFAST at 7:30am in the Activity Center in the rear of the church. Three dollars will buy you a good
breakfast. Visit while you eat, then there will be a short Bible lesson by Doug Williams on "Luke", so come on in and get acquainted!
Sunday, February 14: VALENTINES DAY DINNER from 5-7pm. Avoid the crowds and long waits at local restaurants as the youth of NBPC
host "A Night In Italy". Dinner includes Italian favorites: lasagna, pasta, salad, bread, desserts and entertainment! Please make a reservation by
February 9th! A signup sheet is on the credenza in the Narthex. A love offering will be collected to help with upcoming youth mission projects.
Tuesday February 16: SHROVE TUESDAY On the 3rd week of February we'll have Welcome Wednesday on Tuesday with our traditional annual pancake
supper. We'll have "pancake flipping" races, do the "bunny hop" and other activities. Wear a silly hat, bring a joke to tell, and be prepared to have fun!
Wednesday, February 17:   WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY will resume at 9:30 a.m. for 8 weeks, ending April 14th.
We will use the eight week group study, Disciple: Invitation to Romans, and will meet at Ann Brunn's home,
306 Lakeview Terrace. Please call Ann at 639-6809 if you'd like to join us for study and fellowship.
Saturday February 20: FRIENDS FELLOWSHIP GROUP will be going to Circle Arts Theater at 8pm to see the zany musical "The Producers".
Sign up on the sheet in the credenza in the narthex, and pay Ross or Ellen Dill for your tickets by Sunday, Feb 14th.
Sunday, February 21: INQUIRERS' CLASS: New members, visitors and any others who would like to know more about our congregation and our denomination
are cordially invited to attend this 1 hour class at 9:30am in the Parlor on each of the four Sundays from February 21 through March 14. Guest speakers from the congregation and the
church staff will discuss NBPC programs, church history, Presbyterian worship & sacraments, and Presbyterian theology. If you have any questions, please call Neil Gately at
626-6754.
Tuesday, February 23: MEN'S DINNER at 6pm for visiting, and 6:30pm for dinner at the Buddy's Backyard, across Loop 337 from the Walgreens on Walnut
