Rev. Scott Nowack

The Rev. Scott Nowack is Senior Pastor and Head of Staff. Growing up in New Jersey, Rev. Nowack follows in the footsteps of his mother, who is also an ordained Presbyterian Church (USA) minister. Ordained in 1999, Rev. Nowack has served Presbyterian congregations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and government from Muhlenberg College in Allentown PA, and a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary. He plans to continue his studies by pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree at Austin Theological Seminary.

He and his wife D’Anna have three children. Scott's interests and hobbies include spending time with his family, playing basketball and golf, playing the guitar, reading, geopolitics and international affairs, Middle Eastern archaeology, landscaping, woodworking, Syracuse University Men's Basketball, New York Giants football and New York Yankee baseball!

Associate Pastor

Rev. Katy Walters

A native of Richardson, Texas, Rev. Walters brings her vibrant faith, caring spirit, and a passion for ministry with children and youth to NBPC and the community at-large. She graduated from Austin College in Sherman, Texas with a degree in music and went on to earn her Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Practical Theology with a focus in Christian Education from Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta. Rev. Walters has 10 years of experience working primarily with children and youth, including some time as the middle school youth director at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church in Dallas, and was called to NBPC after serving as associate pastor at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Snellville, GA. 

Katy loves learning something new every day and recently discovered she likes many things that begin with the letter “C,” including: coffee, Christ, children, churches, crafts, cards, cats (especially one named Milo), comedies, and collecting coffee cups. Katy loves lock-ins with Disney movies, always requests bumper lanes while bowling, and seeks to sing something every day. She also daily tries to love like Jesus loves.

Lynda Jackson

Lynda Jackson is a Christian, a Native Texan, and a proud American, coming from a background of service to God and country with ancestors who have served in every conflict in our country since the Revolution.  She is the mother, along with her late husband Cliff, of four sons, Troy (now deceased), Richard, Michael and Matthew, and proud grandmother of four.  A retired banker of 40 years experience, she is enjoying a different work style with NBPC.  A dedicated long-time supporter of Texas A&M, she enjoys Aggie football, and is an active and Life member of the Comal County Aggie Moms.  Her interests include genealogy research, military and historical reading, quilting, fishing, cooking and most of all — caring for her family.

Director of Kid's Day Out

Suzy Wilkinson

Suzy Wilkinson is the director of NBPC's Kid's Day Out (KDO) program and has been since its opening in 1997. She has been a member of our congregation since 1981 and before opening KDO she was a teacher in the First United Methodist Day School. Rosanne Stockhorst

Rosanne Stockhorst has been a member of NBPC for about 55 years and has served as its Treasurer since 1999. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Houston - Clear Lake and a Bachelor's of Business Administration Degree in Accounting from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University).

Praise Team Leader/Church Organist

Daniel Wyman

Daniel Aaron Wyman is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and educator hailing from Anchorage, Alaska.  Daniel began accompanying church choirs and instrumentalists on both piano and organ at the age of 14.  He studied music (classical, chamber, accompanying, jazz, and latin styles) at Texas State University, and served in the U.S. Army National Guard for 6 years.  

Currently, Daniel serves as Program Director and Head of the Keyboard Area at the Bulverde Academy of Music, and maintains a personal studio of piano, organ, bass, and music theory students.  He is a highly sought after session and live performer on piano/keyboards and bass in the Central Texas area in multiple genres of music, and multiple bands.  Daniel is thrilled to be serving New Braunfels Presbyterian Church as the organist/pianist, as well as utilizing other skills playing bass and keyboards in the praise band.

Betsy Hankins

Betsy Hankins received a B.M.E. from Wichita State University in 1986 and is a retired public school music teacher.  She and her husband Steve, who is a retired band director, have three children, Emma, Will and Griffin.

Projection Technician

Ashley Koepp

Ashley Koepp grew up in New Braunfels and has lived in this community all her life. She has worked in customer service in town for the last several years, and she has also served NBPC since 2013 as projection technician – she is always happy to offer help in any way that she can! Ashley graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies.

She and her husband, Travis, got married here at NBPC in October of 2013, and they are excited to be starting a new little family of their own. When they are both not busy with work, they enjoy being homebodies surrounded by their nerdy collectibles and books, and they also enjoy playing with their children – furry four-legged children included!


Kevin Doran

Kevin Doran, our Head of Maintenance, was born in San Antonio and graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelors of Science in Agriculture Economics. He has a daughter, Kelsey, who works as a Leasing Agent in Austin, Texas. Kevin also works as an Insurance Agent for Miller & Miller. He is involved with the New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce, and enjoys playing tennis and listening to live music in Gruene in his free time. 

Emeritus Pastor

Rev. Dr. Ken Peters

The Rev. Dr. Kenneth Peters was Senior Pastor from 1989 to 2011. Ken and Marilyn are enjoying retirement in Georgetown, Texas. Ken loves going over to Southwestern University (Class of 1967!), teaching at Senior Universityand First Presbyterian Church, preaching occasionally, and pursuing his various interests. He and Marilyn have made some interesting trips abroad and here at home, and more are on the horizon. Their friends and their time in New Braunfels and at New Braunfels Presbyterian Church will always have a very special place in their affections.
